우리의 사명

개인화된 학습 계획을 통해 무한한 가능성을 창출합니다.

이 이미지는 A New Generation Home School의 신념을 간략하게 설명합니다.

A New Generation Home School, a unique home school program in Texas, is the brainchild of experienced educators. We provide an alternative educational experience that adheres to state law, delivering middle school and high school education in a home school setting. As we work in tandem with parents to offer this unique educational journey, we are not subject to the Texas Education Agency’s regulations.  Specifically, home school students are not mandated to take part in state assessments, and while it’s advised, the home school curriculum does not have to be aligned verbatim with the Texas Education Readiness Skills. The minimum requirement for home schools is to operate genuinely, using a written curriculum that encompasses reading, spelling, grammar, math, and a course in good citizenship. A New Generation Home School exceeds these basic requirements.  Our high school diploma and Verification of Enrollment (VOE) are recognized by Texas universities, colleges, public school transfers, and Texas government agencies like the Texas Department of Public Safety.

In April 2024, we commence our first year of providing home-school programming. We are enrolling students aged 11 and above, offering a detailed preassessment to help ascertain subject matter proficiency, grade advancement, and comprehensive homeschooling support and service. According to §28.021 of the Texas Education Code (TEC), advancement or credit is granted based on “academic achievement or demonstrated proficiency of the subject matter.” We offer three learning pathways:

  • Youth Learning Pathway for students aged 11-17 who do not have any high school credits or do not have a minimum of 22 high school credits for the first time

  • STAAR Redemption Pathway to Graduation for students who are aged 17 and under with a minimum of 22 high school credits, but need an Individualized Graduation Plan that addresses not meeting STAAR requirements

  • 18+ Pathway to Graduation for students who are 18+ who have not completed high school requirements.

Upon successfully completing a learning pathway, students receive a high school diploma, granting them the same educational rights as traditional high school graduates and GED holders in Texas. This includes the recognition of a home school program high school diploma as equivalent to a private school high school diploma by Texas universities and colleges. More information about Texas Home School Regulations can be found here.  Parents or guardians are required to either directly instruct their minor child enrolled in our program or opt for remote tutoring instruction. Students in the 18+ program collaborate with a Learning Facilitator for tutoring as needed. If remote tutoring is selected, parents or guardians must be present during the sessions for minor students (aged 17 and below). Enrollment at A New Generation Homeschool requires an “official” high school transcript from guardians of minor students aged 11-17 years old or from students aged 18 and older, while school records are required for students under the age of 14. These documents are needed at the online consultation meeting.  After all coursework is completed, diplomas and official transcripts are issued within 4-6 weeks upon verification of completion. Public high schools can transfer students to our home school program as an alternative to the student discontinuing their education, thus allowing the public high school to avoid reporting them as dropouts.

We strongly believe in the significant impact a high school diploma can have on life outcomes and are committed to reaching as many students as possible who can benefit from our services. Annual Graduation Ceremonies will be organized and held, but attendance is not mandatory. Comprehensive graduation information will be included in the completion packet.
